About Guitar Chord Finder

Guitar Chord Finder is an independent, browser-based toolbox for guitarists. It answers chord questions in both directions: type a chord name to get its fingerings, or select frets and notes to get the chord's name — with the notes, intervals, root, bass and inversion always in plain sight.

What the tools do

The site ships six focused tools that share one matching engine: a guitar chord finder, a guitar chord analyzer, a chord analyzer for note input, a guitar chord identifier, a chord finder and a chord identifier. Every tool runs entirely in your browser — there is no account, no upload, and no waiting for a server.

Why it exists

Most chord sites answer one question and hide the theory. We wanted a single page per question, a tool in the first screen, and honest music theory underneath — correct enharmonic spelling, real inversion detection, and alternate names when a set of notes genuinely supports more than one reading.

We do not publish a support email at this stage. If you found a bug or a chord that reads wrong, the tools themselves are the fastest feedback loop: check the notes and intervals panel against your instrument.
